Introduction: The word 'Birth' is what everyone is familiar with, when we talk about birth, we talk about life, new life indeed.
Going by the topic, a birth against the will of Flesh means Overcoming the will of Satan and dwelling or yielding to the will of God.
The Flesh is natural body, a mortal body and is a weaker vessel, that is why the devil always set his eyes on the flesh whenever he wants to demote a life of God's children. I will tell you firmly that the flesh is what our soul adversary always war against first in the life of a believer's, so if you are not strong and sensitive enough, no matter how anointed you are or your years in the Christendom, you will definitely fall. The woman Adam declared as his flesh of flesh was the point of influence, satan used to set him against the command of God. In the book of Job 2:5, he is bringing in same method to set Job against his creator, he said touch his bone and flesh. Today, same tricks and pranks he is playing to set you and I against the will of God.
Christians need to come to the point of understanding, where they need to realise this truth, not to give flesh, room to rule over them, Apostle Paul noticed this lapses in the body of Christ at Ephesus and he say unto them repeatedly to always being in the spirit, walking and living in it. It takes a spiritual minded man to overcome this flesh.
We won't but touch this, if there is a birth against the will of the flesh, then there will likewise be a birth against the will of the spirit. Therefore we are to firstly discern where are we, who is our father now, Jesus spoke of those who are born of the devil (John 8: 44) and this is as well emphasized by Apostle John
"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." 1 John 3:8-10.
The only single birth against the birth of the flesh is the birth from God. Jesus says, he who is born of the flesh is flesh and who is born of the spirit is spirit, you cannot be born of the spirit and be controlled by the impulses of the flesh and vice versa. Any man born against the will of the flesh is always spiritual.
In books of Mathew 26:14b. Jesus said the spirit is indeed willing (spirit of God) but the flesh is weak.. the spirit of God always want us to do the right thing, to live a righteous life but the flesh will not allow because it is carnally minded.
We need to know vividly that it is not everything flesh demand that we will give. As a heir, someone that has genuine intimacy with God, you must always discipline your flesh and be conscious of the things of God so that you will not fall, As anointed king saul is, he fell, Judas was one of the chosen and called disciples of Christ Jesus, but he never end it well in the apostolic ministry. Let he that thinks he stand, take heed lest he fall. In other not to fall and be a prey to the devil, we need to be more sensitive and totally submit to the things of the spirit, you must not set your mind on the things that are carnal.
Apostle Paul said In the book of Romans 13:14, "we should put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provisions for the Flesh, to fulfill it lust."
One thing is needful here and that is to know this truth that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. And now, possibly we have been submitting to the flesh, there's is still time to make a U-turn and start dwelling and living a life of the spirit (God). I am so glad you let you know that the reason for Christ bearing that shame, pain, suffering, agony and finally death is in order to restore us back.
