Fleshed Christians

Carnality

"For the (person) natural man cannot receive the things of the spirit..." 1 Cor 2:14.

I believe the first thing to clear out in this quoted verse should be, if a natural man cannot receive the things of the spirit, then who can, and why can't they receive?

Apostle Paul made it known, when he wrote his epistle to the Romans that the flesh is hostility to every godly things, because its thought, reasons, sense and pursuit is always without holy desire. There is this popup energetic trait in it that lives it with no other option rather than to never admit and submit to the will of God. Roman's 8: 7.

There is a caterpillar Apostle Paul saw destroying the Roman's Christian, the same is the palmerworm he found destroying the spiritual vineyard in Corinth and this is the same cankerworms fortified by today's Christians to falsify their beliefs. It was so surprising that the church of God in Corinth who was firstly called saints was later tagged to be carnally minded (1 Corinthians 1:2; 3: 1-3). As it was then, it is now. Jesus says in His parable that, let them live together, both the wheat and the tares.

Through this scripture, it is then confirms that there are two types of Christians
(a) The spiritual/ spirit filled Christians (b) The natural/carnal Christians.

They both believe that Christ is Lord, but one receive Him as his personal saviour. They both hear about salvation, but one see the necessity and make use of it, they both attend church programmes, seminar and camping, but one let it be impactful, giving chance to inward reflection causing a greater transformation to live righteously and acceptable unto God. they might as well be seen on evangelism field together and share every other things, but there is something that always distinguish them, and that is what we pray the Holy Spirit open our eyes to see and give the grace to amend as we proceed in this teaching.

During the first spiritual reformation of the church which started in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. Tongues and Kindred felt the awesomeness of God of which the Bible recorded that, it brings fear upon all the people that see or hear them.
The church was seen together in unity breaking breads, fellowshipping together and sharing things in common, no single record of self claims, but the scripture let go not, the story of Ananias and his wife saphirra. There is always a differences and either of this flaws or flows is from the heart.

Let's pick a subject of an identical twins as an instance for clarity sake; they are the same in looks, sometimes height and most time body size inclusive, but there is still a fact that something will surely be that will distinguish them. The generally acceptable distinctive feature is the names they separately bear, but yet confusing, because not everyone that sees them can identify them.

A carnal or fleshed Christians can only knows his or herself to be carnal, except for God who knows all too. In the Christian hood today, We hear the same song and say the same worship, hear the same preaching, and say the same prayer, but each one only knows if he is carnal or spiritual.

Carnality is hostility to spirituality, it gives room for it's victims to easily discern carnality in others, but shut down on them every reason to admit they are also the same. One faithful sunday, our pastor gave a sermon, that sermon shook the whole church that people started seeing themselves in a mirror through the word of God. None in the congregation is not touched, but to my surprise, on getting home, a set of people that first entered the compound started with their report "is as if pastor is living with us, he really say out every bad thing they are doing (referring to another set of people in the same compound and they attend the same church while most of them are I'm the same unit, but not yet back from the church) they back bite, they do these and that" finally they concluded that may God let them realised the truth and changed. If I may ask who really need change, this is the set of Pharisees that see fault in others and see themselves perfectly perfect.

carnality is complicated, stop showing interest to know of others first, know that of yours and work on it, remember how harshly Jesus speak of the hypocritical religious leader who have a wood log in their eyes and still deem it fit to discern a speck in the eyes of others.

The question then is, how can I know if I am a carnal Christian? And not how can we know a fleshed or carnal Christian?
A person playing in church, maybe a prayer warrior at home, that righteous man may not be righteous, I once read that people may say he is saved while heaven says he is almost saved.

WHO IS A CARNAL CHRISTIAN?

A fleshed Christian is:

- The man that left is first love.

- The man whose love has grow cold for Christ.

- A man whose delight is not in the word of God, but derive his pleasure in the world, having appetite for the impulses of the flesh.

- A man who receives all what the world's have to offer even without leaving the cycle of christianity.

- A man who seek other things first, then putting the kingdom of God and His righteousness into later option.

-A man walking in the path of death and see foolishness in the counsel of the godly.

WAY OUT
Satan always blindfold a carnal man to notice his stand, the first thing is to admit that you are carnal and accept the fact that you needed to be rescue. Starting with this will surely bring a terror unto the darkest world which held you captive, they may play along a trick to dilute your thinking and restrain your conviction, of which if you give in you will reverse your decision made earlier unto your liberation. You have started, keep moving. No matter the difficulties and strange reactions from people you flock with before, keep moving. John 8:32

Go helplessly to Jesus, the deliverer and confess Him as your Lord and personal saviour. Your confession with strong determination from the heart brings in the inward presence of His spirit in you, who will keep you in track of righteousness. 2 Corinthians 3:17

Refresh your bowels and renew your mind always by presenting yourself as a living sacrifice before God. Roman's 12: 1-2

Hear , read, study, meditate and obey the word of God daily, it will always fuel you to walk in the Spirit, living a life of God.

Watch and pray, be vigilant and steadfast
