Ye have not so learned Christ
Bible reading: Ephesians 4 :20.
I remember the time when I was just growing, a
friend of mine who we were into it together named
this particular period a time with zeal and passion
driven by mere head knowledge, but I bless God for
who I am today. It was all for Christ then and up till
now, the cause never change; when I had no
respect for lukewarmness, when I sighted
passionless people for evangelism, and
immediately it becomes obviously observed in my
response as to their rebuke, a cry for concern. In
those days, although I was just growing, yet I was
experiencing Him. What about you grown believer,
longtime ago Christian, youth leaders or house
fellowship coordinators? What have you experienced
about/in God, as He take away your childishness
and replace with childlikeness? As He wiped away
your guilt and make a room for purity? As He taken
away that stress caused through law and released
unto you the strength through grace? As for me, He
has nutured me to maturity, feed me that I am
Filled and full with His seed (1 John 3:9)
what I saw then, still persist with advanced
and upgraded feature till now; evangelism is on, the
church is expanding, new converts are rushing in,
but the lifestyle of those who they met inside
chased them back to the world, one way or the
other. Satan. Is no longer scared or terrified by our
evangelism because of all these.
In the vineyard, I saw workers, youths, also the
praising team and I was crying within and groaning
as this question dropped to my mind, if actually
there are still Pastors in todays church. We are in
the days where truth is in the morgue, decayed and
stinky smelling. Forget that miracles happened,
miracles and godliness are two different things.
Jesus says to the people of chorazin and bethseida,
"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For
if the mighty works done in you had been done in
Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented
in sackcloth and ashes [and their hearts would have
been changed]." Matthew 11: 21. Nothing is wrong
with miracles, but it should not take the place of
salvation.
The congregation comes for conselling and prayer,
they come out during the service to share testimony
and sometimes out for altar call, yet all these are
happening, now that the whole issue is getting
complicated, who is to be blamed? Let's check
ourselves.
On the better side do I know some brethren who
are cool headed, Bible reader, calm, spiritually
baptised and godly shapened but are still captured
under the dominance of sin.
Who taught you that no man can live above sin, even if
he is born again? Who lectured you that
rightouesness is for God, man can only tried all he
could even after you have claimed to be redeemed
under the work of grace? Who told you there is no
way to live a perfect life after the scripture gives
directions and assurance. Paul the Apostle had
earlier cried out and now I cried again "But ye have
not so learned Christ"
She was clubbing yesterday night, this morning
leading praises on the altar, and by tomorrow, into
another immorality. He was into robbery last week,
on the pulpit teaching today and yet with an
ongoing extramarital affairs. They were into house
to house evangelism yesterday but today throwing
abuses and exchanging curse. She joined the
church, less than three months, now her family is
scattered by the reason of pastors intervention. She
is a tongue speaking machine but after her spiritual
baptism, she is now on the count of her fourth boy
lover. Who taught you all these, Christ or Holy
Spirit?
Forget that anointing, religious title or the fact that
you are coordinating one department and come to
Christ today afresh or once again, with an open
heart willing to be reborn or regenerated.
When you come to God as a child, He will nurture
you up into His likeness and image as a father. Let
me share with you one of the certain things I know
of God, when you come to Him helpless, He
responds as a helper. When you come to Him
unsecured, He appear as a protector. When you
come to Him lonely, He react as a companion.
When you come to Him as sinner, He guarantees
your cleansing and redemption.
There is a man that was born, he lived, died,
ressurected and secured eternity, this is no other
person but Jesus, only this Jesus that can save
your whole dimension, body soul and spirit. Living
souls know he will surely die someday, that is
inevitable, no matter your personality, background,
position, influence, wealth, achievement, religiosity
and others, it doesn't guarantee your eternity, what
does is living your life in the life of that man, Christ
Jesus. He is the way, truth and life. He knows the
way, science cannot discover. The truth they can't
proof to be lie and life they can't clone, He alone
can do this. Come to Jesus today, give your life to
Him and be ready for the leading and direction from
His spirit.
