Bible Reading: Romans 8:1-17
Father we pray, may your word come in simplicity with effectiveness in Jesus name.
The 10th and 11th verse of our Bible reading says, "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
Firstly, let's define shackle and unshackle
Shackle is a shape lock or chain that binds (restrict) freedom, restrain one's action (from moving), activity, or progress, while Unshackled means to be free, liberated, having chain broken from something (bondage).
How can we be free from sin? I.e how should we fight against sin in the flesh?

- Through the power of the Holy Spirit
Sin lies at the door, and its desire is for you, but you should rule over it according to the word of precaution, God gave Cain, before he was slept off by evil. If you don’t resist in the first moment, it gets a fingerhold, and then it grows and becomes another thought, and another thought. In the end, it becomes a way of thinking. Then it has overcome you, rather than the other way around. Don’t give sin an inch! Resist it until the desire is gone, no matter how long that takes. And then you will be free.
Let's define sin, Sin refers to anything that falls short of the holiness of God. The easiest to spot are usually actions, but sins can also include thoughts and attitudes if one is not careful enough in the journey of life. After knowing what sin is then you accept the sinful nature of humanity Even though mankind was created in the image of God, the fall of Adam and Eve as first humans signified the fall of all humanity. At this point, some can agree with me that as a result, humans are sinful by their very nature.
After knowing what sin is and the nature then we should Know what it means to be "free from sin."
Accepting Christ as earlier said ( Holy Spirit, the Inward presence of the Christ Jesus) and being free from sin does not mean that you will never do a mistake ever again. Christ's sacrifice free your spirit from the shackles of sin. Your flesh including your body, mind, and heart will still have to deal with everyday sin. The more you overcome in temptation, the more hope you get for the future. God can transform you, change you, make you new. (2nd cor. 5:17) The future becomes exciting, and filled with amazing possibilities, when you know that you are not bound to react according to the sin in your flesh, but that you can walk in the newness of life We are born with an inclination to many sins that dwell in our flesh, but we do not have to die with them, Should we? NO
Galatians 2:20 says "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me". Let us bodly and solemnly confess that: IT IS NO LONGER I THAT LIVETH BUT CHRIST THAT LIVES IN ME

Conclusively, In Romans 6:18, Apostle Paul writes, "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness" (NIVversion) The concept of being free from sin can be a confusing one since all humans fall short of perfection and inevitably commit sins. Peace be unto us.
